Joseph Ray Mosby, 78, passed this life on March 30, 2018 at home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was born December 29, 1939 to Joseph and Dorothy (Ball) in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Brushy Community. Joseph was a concrete truck driver, he loved fishing, hunting and above all else, he loved God and his family. He was a member of Price’s Chapel Baptist Church.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Hannah Kirkpatrick of Sallisaw, OK., Twila Poindexter of Sallisaw, OK., Cecil Blair of Sallisaw, OK., Johnny Mosby of Sallisaw. OK., Rick and Elizabeth Blair of Gans, OK., Dwanna and Michael Perry of Bokoshe, OK., Carlene Followill of Muskogee, OK., James and Sandy Mosby of Greenwood, AR., Joseph Mosby Jr. of Alma, AR., Jacky and Melissa Mosby of Alma, AR. and Racheal and Scottie Dugger of Alma, AR.; one sister, Alma and Lee Wilcoxen of Broken Arrow, OK.; one brother, Sherrell and Opal Mosby of Sallisaw, OK.; one sister, Fran Bolind in Hot Springs, AR; one sister-in-law, Mary Marten of Stilwell, OK.; thirty-one grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Mosby was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Richard , Bud, and Marvin Mosby; one sister, Sue Stevens; one grandson and one great-grandson.
Graveside Services for Joseph will be held at Brushy Cemetery on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 2pm. Officiated by Reverend Raymond Esteban.
The family has entrusted Forever Memories Funeral Services, 463505 Hwy 101, Sallisaw, Oklahoma, with the arrangements.
