Adam Wayne Chandler

Adam Wayne Chandler, 23, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on December 17, 2002, to James Lee Chandler and Julie Ann Womack in Russellville, Arkansas.

Though his time on earth was far too short, Adam lived a life marked by courage, service, loyalty, and unwavering love for those closest to him. Adam proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the Army National Guard, where he operated heavy equipment and built lifelong friendships with his military family. He was also employed by Summit Fire as a Fire Suppression Specialist, taking pride in protecting others through his work. Above all else, Adam was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. His greatest joy in life was his family. He fiercely loved his wife, Alexia, and cherished every moment with his children, Miles, Lawsyn, Rylee, and Ella. Whether he was spending time with family, serving his country, or enjoying the outdoors, Adam lived with purpose and a heart full of love. An avid outdoorsman, Adam found peace in hunting and treasured every opportunity to be outside. He will be remembered for his strength, his willingness to help anyone in need, his dedication to his family and fellow service members, and the lasting impact he made on everyone, fortunate enough to know him.

Adam is survived by his loving wife, Alexia Chandler; his children, Miles, Lawsyn, Rylee, and Ella; his parents, James and Sue Chandler, and Michael and Julie Womack; his sister, Rebekah Hittner, and husband, Skyler; his nieces, Alexandria, Ada & Fable; his sister, Sarah, and husband, Dalton Gossett; his niece, Maylee; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Kevin & Bridget Ruark, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Cortland and Regan Teague, and their daughter, Charlotte; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dyelan and Jessica Baggs, and their children, Ava and Deacon; along with countless extended family members, friends, fellow soldiers, and coworkers who will forever cherish his memory.

Adam’s legacy of selfless service, steadfast love, and quiet strength will continue to live on in the lives he touched. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

Service will be held at Fort Chaffee Military Base—First Ave, Barling, Arkansas at 2 pm sharp on Friday, August 7th. Military will direct at arrival. Flowers must be ordered through Coffman’s Flowers at 918-315-6707 or Jody’s Floral Designs at 918-235-6912 so they can be transported to Fort Chaffee.
