Alice Jane Stewart

Alice Jane Stewart of Ringwood, Oklahoma, passed away in Sallisaw on September 29, 2026.   She was born on February 26, 1956, in Enid, Oklahoma to Roy and Mary (Gauley) Stewart.

She graduated from Ringwood High School.  Janie worked as a phlebotomist and did taxes for H&R Block.

Janie went by many names: Janie, Aunt Dingy, JJ, Mom, Meemaw, and friend.  Janie will be remembered for her love of family, her generous heart, her beautiful smile, and her ability to make everyone around her feel loved and like family.   She touched many a child's life through her years teaching children's church with her sisters.

Janie is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mary Stewart; her sisters Betty Jo Stewart, Ruth Wirtz, Millie Stewart, and Rebecca Stewart.

She is survived by her daughter Kathren Pidcock, and granddaughter Elidee McGuire; brother Mark Stewart and wife Sherry; brother-in-law George Wirtz; her nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.

Memorial service will be 10:00 am Saturday October 10th at New Beginnings Wesleyan Fellowship in Ringwood, Oklahoma/  Burial will be after at Glenwood Cemetery south of Ringwood.
