Billy Cecil Armstrong, born on July 6, 1971, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, passed away on May 1, 2026, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. A devoted family man and skilled machinist, Billy’s life was one marked by hard work, dedication, and a joyful spirit that touched all who knew him.

Billy graduated from Gans High School in 1989, he pursued a career as a machinist at Baldor, where his technical skill and unwavering work ethic earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike.

Known for being always entertaining to be around, Billy brought light and laughter into any room. Billy loved deer hunting and fishing, passions that reflected his deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors. A devoted dog lover, he cherished the companionship of his canine friends, Drake, Hank, Gibbs And Rowdy, and his enthusiasm for baseball shone through his steadfast support of the Texas Rangers.

Billy is survived by his beloved wife, Deann Armstrong; his children, Blake Armstrong and KassiDee Hauff along with her husband, Noah; his brothers Jack Armstrong Jr and wife, Katrina, Doug Bailey and wife, Sheila, and Chris Bailey and wife, Norico; his sister, Melinda Rhoads, and husband, Todd, and his grandchild, Jase Brown-Armstrong, all of whom will deeply feel his absence.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Armstrong Sr., and Brenda; and his grandparents, George and Edna Armstrong, as well as Eskol and Ruby Davis. 

A visitation will be held in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel at Forever Memories Funeral Services on Monday, May 4, from 5-7 pm with graveside services the next day, Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 2 pm at Gans Cemetery. Tom McCardle will be officiating. Pallbearers are, Jack Armstrong Jr., Blake Armstrong, Todd Rhoads, Mick Maloney, Shane Brunk, and Steve Woodruff.

Billy Cecil Armstrong’s life was one of warmth, humor, and steadfast devotion to those he loved. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who remember him not only for his many talents and passions but also for the kindness and genuine spirit he shared with all who had the privilege to know him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. Billy's family has entrusted Forever Memories Funeral Services, 463505 Hwy 101, Sallisaw, Oklahoma with the arrangements of their loved one.
