Billy Joe Cheater, 61, of Sallisaw, born on April 26, 1960, in Tahlequah, passed away on August 13, 2021, in a Tahlequah hospital. He is survived by his Daughter, Karrie Cheater Smith and Husband Lonnie Maurice Smith of Fort Smith AR; his Son, Billy Joe Cheater Jr. of Sallisaw; three Grand-daughters Akiilah Shade of Muldrow, Shaniya and Ka’ mauri Andrews of Fort Smith; Brothers Robert Cheater, Joey Heckle, Eddie Heckle, & Mike Anderson; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Billy was preceded in death by his wife Karen Oleta Cheater, his mother Betsy Cheater, his father George Locust, and his sister, Linda Wells.
Visitation for Billy will be Wed, Aug 18, 2021, from 4-7pm in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel of Forever Memories Funeral Services, 463505 Hwy 101, Sallisaw. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021, at 2:00 pm in the Flute Cemetery, Marble City.
