Billy Joe London, 89, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on July 27, 2026. Born on July 22, 1937, in Nicut, Oklahoma, to Jess and Georgia London, Bill was the youngest of ten children. He graduated from Muldrow High School in 1956, earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Northeastern State University, and later received his master’s degree from the University of Tulsa.
On August 10, 1964, he married Saundra Sue Seabolt. Together they shared 62 years of marriage and raised two daughters, Carmen and Sheri. Bill dedicated more than 40 years to education, serving 30 of those years as a school superintendent. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Army, where he served as an Intelligence Analyst. Stationed in underground bunkers just behind enemy lines, he intercepted communications of America’s adversaries—work that required both skill and courage. Beyond his professional life, Bill was a devoted family man, an avid golfer, and a lifelong squirrel and coon hunter. As a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, he dedicated decades of his life to fellowship, community service, and helping those in need. Bill was known for his kind and generous spirit. He was always willing to listen and offer advice and encouragement to those around him.
Bill is survived by his wife, Saundra Sue, of the home; daughters, Carmen London of Gore, Oklahoma, and Sheri and her husband Danny Huddleston of Muldrow, Oklahoma; his grandchildren include LaCrissa Johnson and her husband Mark of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Dustin Pickup and his wife Brittany of Checotah, Oklahoma, Cristin London of Gore, Oklahoma, Dr. Cody Due and his wife Jessica of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Dr. Bradley Due and his wife Trang of Texas. Bill also had nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Georgia London, and his nine brothers and sisters.
