Charles Keith Brinkley, affectionately known as Keith, was born on December 27, 1956, in McAlester, Oklahoma, and departed from this world on October 10, 2025, in Muldrow, Oklahoma, to be with his lord and savior. Keith was not just a hard-working man; he was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a cherished friend, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.

For 40 years and 18 days, he shared his life with his wife and soulmate, Cheryl Diana Brinkley. Together, they cultivated not only a beautiful garden but also a deep bond filled with love, laughter, and shared passions. Keith’s joy in life was evident in the simple pleasures he cherished: fishing by the water, camping in the great outdoors, and nurturing his garden, where he found peace and fulfillment.

A witty and charming man, Keith had an innate ability to uplift spirits with his humor and intelligence. He was deeply proud of his family and tirelessly supported his children, Charles Kyle and Christopher Kaylon, along with their wives, Jess and Jyme. The laughter and joy continued as he adored his grandchildren, Karyssa, Kobe, Klay, and Chesney.

Keith is survived by his mother, Shirley Jean Shelton, and his siblings: Delinda Sue Lance and her husband, John; Judy Cooley; and Darrell Brinkley and his wife, Regina. He also leaves behind his dear aunt Maggie and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, each of whom carries a piece of his spirit.

Though Keith’s father, Paul Keith Brinkley, and brothers, Wayne Brinkley and Kenneth Brinkley, have preceded him in death, their memories will forever remain cherished within the hearts of his loved ones. As we remember Keith, we find solace in the knowledge that he was eagerly looking forward to joining his Lord and Savior, a journey that reflects the faith that guided him throughout his life.

Keith Brinkley will be dearly missed, not just for his unwavering support and affection but also for the laughter and light he brought to the lives of all who knew him. His legacy is one of love, kindness, and camaraderie, and the impact he made will continue to resonate through the hearts of those left behind. Rest in peace, dear Keith; your essence remains alive in our cherished memories.
