Clifford Ray Frye Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on June 5, 2025, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, at 52. Born on October 4, 1972, in Killeen, Texas, his fond memories began when he grew up on a farm in Ennis, Texas. After his family relocated to Oklahoma during his teenage years, he made the best of memories with those who became lifelong friends.
Clifford is remembered for his one-of-a-kind personality. He was known to help anyone who needed it, if he couldn't help, he had no problem telling you how you should do it! Clifford cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. His passion for Ford trucks, cold beer, and loud music often came to life during family cookouts, swimming at the lake or a cold creek, or simply relaxing on the tailgate of his truck. These gatherings created a tapestry of memories that his family will carry with them always.
Clifford attended Sallisaw High School and worked at Yaffe Iron and Metal in Fort Smith, where he was well-respected and liked by his coworkers. His friendships were profound, with a few loyal friends whom he considered brothers, solidifying bonds that would last a lifetime. Two of these dear friends became his brothers-in-law.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Jacqueline Branham, and their sons: Justin Frye and his wife, Kasey; Colton Frye; and honorary son, Chance Stephens. His daughter, Heather Frye, and her partner, Chance Kienlen, also carry on his legacy. Clifford was a loving grandfather to his six grandchildren: Alexandria Frye, Cameron Frye, Jasper Frye, Hensley Keinlen, Jamison Keinlen, and Isabella Frye, who brought him immense joy and pride.
He is survived by his loving parents, Clifford Frye Sr. and Patricia (Moore) Frye, his brothers, Kenneth Frye and Robert Frye, and his wife, Heather. His sister, Carolyn Bridges, and her husband, Kim, also hold him close in their hearts. Clifford's vibrant family extends to his nephews, Garit Frye, Trevon Frye, Brayden Bridges, and nieces, Kimberlee Bridges and Kadi Frye, along with many cousins, aunts, uncles, and other cherished family and friends.
Clifford was preceded in death by his uncle, Donald Frye, and his niece, April Bridges, whose memories will forever remain alive in the hearts of those who loved them.
As we remember Clifford Ray Frye Jr., we celebrate the life of a man who impacted everyone fortunate enough to know him. He will be missed tremendously, but his spirit will live on in the memories and love he shared with those he held dear.
A viewing for Clifford will be Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 11 am to 3 pm with family and friends in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel at Forever Memories Funeral Services in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
