Dennis Riley Collins, 61, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on June 6 th, 2023. He was born July 2 nd, 1961, to Richard and Lucille (Gilbert) Collins in Coldwater, Kansas. After being raised in Minneola, Kansas, he joined the army to serve his country. Dennis was an adventurous soul traveling throughout his adult life and ended up settling in Oklahoma for the last six years with his family.
Dennis is survived by his mother, Lucille (Collins) Hale of Minneola, Kansas. One sister Cathy Yates and husband, Mel, of Minneola, Kansas. One aunt Josie McDowell and Uncle Max of Minneola, and a numerous number of nieces and nephews, including greats and great-greats.
He is preceded in death by both paternal and maternal grandparents. His dad Richard Collins, one sister, Linda Collins, and his brother David Collins.
A private celebration of life will be held in Kansas at a later date.
Only flowers or cards may be sent to his mother, Lucille Hale, at the Minneola Kansas Long term care center.
