Jarrett Ashley Burge, a devoted husband, father, and brother, passed away on May 29, 2025, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, at the age of 56. Born on March 21, 1969, in Lone Jack, Missouri, Jarrett made an indelible mark not only as a Heavy Equipment Operator in Construction but also in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Jarrett was profoundly dedicated to his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Burge, with whom he shared a bond that only grew deeper with time. Together, they fostered a nurturing environment for their children, whom Jarrett cherished above all else. His proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly his children: Jarrett Austin Burge, who is married to Kendra Burge; Haley Breedlove, who is married to Riley Breedlove; and Jace Burge.
He was also deeply connected to his parents, Paul and Ola Burge, who provided him with the foundation of love and support throughout his life. Jarrett's family extended to his beloved siblings, including Liza Widner, who is married to Jeff Widner, and Rachelle Allwood, who is married to Sean Allwood. He embraced being an uncle to Michael Del Muro and his wife, Brittany, and cherished his nieces and nephews: Ainsley, Catherine, and Grace Allwood, along with his great-nephew, Benjamin Del Muro.
Outside of his professional life, Jarrett had a zest for life that included his passions for fishing and dirt biking. His adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors provided him with joy and relaxation. Friends and family will remember him not only for his hard work and dedication to his trade but also for the warmth he brought into their lives through his kindness and humor.
Visitation will be held on June 2, 2025, beginning at 4:00 PM and concluding at 8:00 PM at 463505 OK-101, Sallisaw, Oklahoma. A Funeral Service will take place the following day, June 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at the same location. Pallbearers are Jarrett Austin Burge, Jace Burge, Riley Breedlove, Sean Allwood, Steve Thomas, Matt Mullikan, with Michael Del Muro and Dennis Thomas as honorary pallbearers. Pastor Bob Overton will be officiating the service.
Jarrett Ashley Burge leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
