Jesse Wayne Carter, 52, of Pocola OK, passed away on February 13, 2022. Jesse was born on June 8, 1969, to Jerry Carter and Linda Overbay Carter. Jesse enjoyed playing cards and dominos, Fishing, swimming, and watching movies. He also really liked playing his guitar and listening to music. His favorite thing was spending time with his family.
Jesse is survived by his wife Sherry Gardenhire Carter; father, Jerry Carter; Children, Jacky Lee and Mykala Carter, LaCrishia Rose Elizabeth Litton, Dylan Cage Darden, Kelsie Lynn Darden; Grandchildren, Kyler Carter, Emma Collins, Kyliegh Carter, Weston Carter, and Harley Litton; several nieces and nephews, friends, and relatives. He was proceeded in death by baby brother Jerry Carter Jr., Melvin and Jewel Carter, Pete and Zelma Overbay.
Casket bearers are Buddy Gardenhire, James Gardenhire, Mike Frazier, Duane Frazier, James Biggs, Waco Hill, Jacky Carter, and Thad Moody. Honorary casket bearers are Ronald Walls, and David Darden.
Visitation for Jesse will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022, from 4-8 PM in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel of Forever Memories Funeral Services.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 2 PM at Akins Cemetery with Joseph Mosby officiating services.
