Jesus Barbosa

Jesus V. Barbosa, 68, of Sallisaw passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017 in Fort Smith. He was born on January 29, 1949 in Iloco Sir Philippines to Hermito and Petra (Valera) Barbosa. Jesus worked in Honolulu for a brief time before moving his family to California where he worked in the field to support his family. He then moved to Sallisaw in 2009. He enjoyed fishing, especially when he was with his kids and grandkids. In his eyes, if he taught them how to fish, they would never go hungry.Jesus was preceded in death by his parents, his wife-Shirley Sebastian, sister-Minda Barbosa and son-Jesus Barbosa, Jr.Jesus is survived by his children; Josephine Barbosa, Jessica Barbosa Montemayor, Jesse Barbosa, Jeffrey Barbosa, Jenny Sebastian, Elizabeth Barbosa and Paterno Barbosa. Siblings; Leonardo Barbosa, Elizabeth Barbosa, Sonia Barbosa and Melito Barbosa. 9 Grandchildren; Zandalee Mari Barbosa Montemayor, Leilani Sienna Barbosa Montemayor, Quinten Nathaniel Barbosa Montemayor, Dimitri Sebastian, Nellie Ruth Sinclair, Shawn Alexander Sinclair, Hope Faith Sinclair, Money Martin and Mariah Barbosa. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
