Jim Blackbird, 52, of Marble City, passed away on Aug 12, 2018. Jim was born on Feb 17, 1966 in Tahlequah to Coming and Ruthie Ann (Locust) Blackbird. He enjoyed working on cars, playing horseshoes, fishing, and hanging out with his best friend Frank.He is survived by his wife, Lillian Blackbird; children, Julian Buzzard, Jim Lee Blackbird, Gayyohhi Blackbird, Clarissa Blackbird, and Katie Mejia; Mother, Ruth Blackbird; Brothers, George Roberts, James Blackbird, John Blackbird; Sisters, Lucy Sequichie, Josie Cheater, Irene Ramirez, Suzanne Blackbird; 17 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Coming Blackbird; Brothers, Robert Locust, John Blackbird, Adam Blackbird, and Eli blackbird; Nephew, Jimmy Don Cheater; and his mother and father in law.Family viewing and wake will be at 112 E Choctaw Ave, Marble City on Thursday night, August 16, 2018. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug 17, 2018 in the Marble City School Gym with Pastor John Flute officiating. Burial will follow in the McCoy Cemetery, Evening Shade. Casket Bearers will be Jeremy Cheater, Jeff Cheater, Nicholas Buzzard, CJ Smith, Dimitri Ramirez, Samuel Marin.Arrangements are under the direction of the Forever Memories Funeral Service, Sallisaw.
