Jimmy Dale Benge, 71, of Sallisaw, affectionately known as “Bingo,” passed away on July 29, 2026, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was born on May 18, 1955, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, to Tommie Lucille (Barrett) and Houston Goodlow Benge. 

 Throughout his years, he nurtured meaningful connections with friends, neighbors, and everyone whose lives he touched. He attended elementary school in Akins and then later graduated high school from Roland High. Jimmy served in the United States Air Force from July 1974 to July 1978 and received the Medal of Patriotism from the Cherokee Nation. He worked in security. Jimmy had a fondness for sports; he was an avid OU football fan and once scored 50 points in a basketball game against Gans as a Central Tiger. He loved catfishing in rivers and lakes. 

Jimmy is survived by his children, Tammy and Brandon Osborn; his grandchild, Kiersten Osborn; his nephews, Jerry Wayne Caughman and Kenny Benge; his niece, Toni Gaither; his dog, Tanner and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sandra Jean Benge; his siblings, Christeen Oliver, Ida May Gregory, Connie Sue Caughman, Kenneth Benge; and two nephews, Gregory and Eddie Benge.

With his passing, the community joins together in remembrance of a man who lived fully and generously, whose character was marked by genuine kindness and unwavering respect for others. The loss of Jimmy Dale “Bingo” Benge is keenly felt, and his impact will not be forgotten.
