Johnny Wayne Hine, 65, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away on June 23, 2024. John was born in Lawton, Oklahoma. to John Hine and Wallie McClean on September 20, 1958.

John married the love of his life, Diane Tounzen on September 9, 2005 they recently celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary. John loved to work and when he was not working, he was fishing. John loved to fish and he loved to brag about all the big fish he had or hadn’t caught. He loved to spend time with his family, whether it be lighting up the grill for a family cookout, sitting around the fire with his guitar or working in the garden together, he found much comfort in this.

John is survived by his wife, Diane Tounzen Hine, their children, Justin and wife Amanda Hine of Malvern, Arkansas, Charles Tounzen of Sallisaw, Oklahoma. His sisters, Maria and Rick Hutcell of North Carolina, Diana Ralson of Tyler, Texas, a brother, Michael McLean of Pensacola, Florida, one granddaughter, Emma Hine of Malvern, Arkansas, several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his step father, Edward McLean, and his in-laws, Harold and Jeannette Tounzen.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024, from 4:00 – 8:00 in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel of Forever Memories Funeral Services in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 2:00 at Akins cemetery.

The family has entrusted the arrangements to Forever Memories Funeral Services, INC, Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
