Jonathon Caleb Greene, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on December 8, 2025, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He was born on May 8, 1993, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Jonathon was known for his work as a self-employed tree cutter and trimmer, a profession that allowed him to enjoy the great outdoors, an endeavor he truly loved, especially when it came to fishing.
Jonathon was a person who thrived on the company of his family and friends, deeply treasuring the time spent with his children. His proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly his family, comprising his devoted wife, Jasmine Greene, and their three children: Ahleah Jasmine, Aislynn Gail, and Ezekiel Addon Greene. Jonathon’s role as a husband and father was paramount to him, and his warm spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
In his passing, Jonathon leaves behind a loving family that includes his father, Merle Greene of Muldrow, as well as his siblings: Thomas Vann and his wife Miranda of Vian, Kelly Vann of Vian, Natasha Pegg and her husband Jon of Stillwater, Deanna Vann-Vest and Tara of Muldrow, Justin and Paula Vann of Lawrence, Kansas, Josh and Jessica Greene of Roland, Searra Greene of Sallisaw, Rebekah and Sammy Rogers of Muldrow, Caitlyn Greene and her husband Josh Hendrix of Muldrow, Mary-Ann and Kenny Washington of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Ricky and Tanya White of Midway, Arkansas, Airie Greene of Paris, Arkansas, Rose Marie Greene of Paris, Arkansas, and Michael and Merlita Branan of Cookson, Oklahoma. Jonathon also had many nieces and nephews to mourn his passing: Bohdi and Laken Vann of Vian, Tyler and Dylan Vann of Sallisaw, Brendan Ferguson of Sallisaw, Jayden Ledford of Gore, Dusty Mayes of Muldrow, Ethan Mayes of Sallisaw, Connor Mayes of Liberty, Levi Mayes of Vian, London Parker of Vian, Jonathan, Audrey, and David Pegg of Stillwater, Cailey and Caden Grinstead of Muldrow, Hadley and Brixton Greene of Roland, Hagan Plank of Sallisaw, Brighton, Brook, and Abby Flanagan of Muldrow, Rose Jetton and Briar Hendrix of Muldrow, and many more.
Jonathon was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Greene, and his grandmother, Rose Kelley. His life was filled with love and laughter, and though he has departed this world, his legacy will live on through the cherished memories held by his family and friends. Jonathon will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the joy he brought to those around him.
A visitation for Jonathon will be held on Thursday December 11, from 4pm - 8pm in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel of the Forever Memories Funeral Services located at 463505 Highway 101 in Sallisaw Oklahoma. Services will be held at the same location on Friday, December 12, at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow and be held at the Box Cemetery located north of Vian on Highway 82.
The services will be officiated by Brother Mvhayv Charcoal-Locust. Pallbearers are Tyler Vann, Dylan Vann, Dusty Mayes, Connor Mayes, Thomas Vann, and Justin Vann. Honorary Pallbearers include Joshua Greene, Brendan Ferguson, Ethan Mayes, Jerry Lee Smith, Alen Bailey, Shawn Buster, Michael Buster, Brent Smith, Anthony Hubbard, and Michael Brown.
