Joshua Don Tinsley, 40, of Cookson, Oklahoma, passed away on June 28, 2024. Joshua was born in Van Buren, Arkansas, on September 04, 1983.
Josh was an electrical lineman. He loved his two boys very much. When he wasn’t working, he was outdoors. He loved to hunt, fish, go camping, and cook out with his family. Josh enjoyed playing jokes on people, especially his sister. After his motorcycle wreck, Josh had a friend fix his chair with a holder for his fishing pole so he could still go fishing. He didn’t let it slow him down.
Josh is survived by his spouse, Nimfa Tinsley; his children, Joshua Matthew Tinsley and Brantlee D Blaze Tinsley; his sister, April Mitchell; his mother, Linda Lewis, niece Jade Lewis; nephew Chance Lewis; and great-nieces and nephews, Erik and Cali Lewis, Laila, Rylee, and Erik Oliver.
He is preceded in death by his fathers, Kenneth Marlar, Randy Lewis, maternal grandmother, Betty Dodd Mulkey, and paternal grandparents, Jim and Mary Marlar.
The family will hold a memorial at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate in kind donations to go towards his funeral expense.
The family has entrusted the arrangements to Forever Memories Funeral Services, INC, Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
