Judy Ann (Wales) Balmain, 80, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, went to her heavenly home on Monday, February 9, 2026, surrounded by family and friends. She was born on January 25, 1946, in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, to Henry Harold and Faye Nell (Adams) Wales. Judy was raised by her loving grandparents, Bill and Gladys Adams of Watts, Oklahoma.
On May 9, 1964, she married her high school sweetheart, Owen Balmain in Watts, Oklahoma. Judy retired after 40 years as the Activity Fund Secretary with Sallisaw Public Schools.
She loved her job, and she loved “The Sallisaw Black Diamonds"!
Judy was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Sallisaw.
She will be missed by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Sim Noah, and Lisa and Terry Bigler, both of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; her grandchildren: Garrett and Katy Langley of Owasso, Oklahoma; Corley and Shea Bigler of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Jenni and Trevon Seymour of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Abby Bigler of Spiro, Oklahoma; her ten precious great-grandchildren: JD, Genesis, and Jolynn Langley, Carlee and Spencer Bigler, Lylah Cantrell, Derrick and Truen Seymour, Shamar and Neomi Perry; and her loving sister, Sharon Cole of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, and a host of other family and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Owen; her parents; her grandparents; and her brother, Connie Mack (Dick) Wales.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 15, from 5-7 pm in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel at Forever Memories Funeral Services. A Celebration of Life for Judy will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church in Sallisaw. Burial will follow at the Sallisaw Cemetery under the direction of Forever Memories Funeral Home.
