Larry Scott Jeremiah, 54, of Roland, Oklahoma, was born on February 1, 1972, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Melinda Gail DeFosse and Larry Dale Jeremiah. Scott passed away on February 11, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas.
Scott was in the oilfield services. He was a cherished father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, who passed away, leaving behind an indelible mark on all who knew him. With a passion for fixing cars that spanned over 30 years, he was a skilled mechanic whose dedication and expertise brought joy to many. Scott’s love for automobiles extended beyond the workshop; he eagerly attended car shows, sharing his enthusiasm and knowledge with fellow enthusiasts.
Scott had an adventurous spirit, relishing the opportunity to travel and explore new places. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, embodying kindness and generosity in every interaction. His greatest joy, however, came from spending time with his grandchildren. The bond he shared with little David was particularly special; they were inseparable, and Scott's face would light up with joy whenever David was by his side.
In the last four years, Scott found a new home in the oil field, where he formed deep connections with his colleagues, who soon became like family to him. His warmth and camaraderie enriched the lives of those around him, creating lasting friendships built on mutual respect and support.
Scott is survived by his daughter, Sarah Jeremiah (Chris Goscinski) of Lubbock, TX; two sons, Scotty Jeremiah of Fort Smith, AR and Brock Jeremiah of Roland, OK; two granddaughters, Reba and Adrianna; two grandsons, Jeremiah and David all of Lubbock, TX.
Additionally, he leaves his mother, Melinda DeFosse of Roland, OK, his sister, Deanna Thornburg of Roland, OK, his half-sister, Whitley Plank, of Muldrow, OK, and his brother-in-law, Michael Thornburg of Roland, OK.
Scott is also remembered by his nephews, Shawn Micheal Jeremiah of Roland, OK, and Kaegan Lewis of Muldrow, OK; his nieces, Tiffany Geier of Monkey Island, OK, Madison Thornburg of Roland, OK, and Kylie Pratt of Muldrow, OK; and great nephew Maverick Jeremiah of Sallisaw, OK. He is survived by numerous other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry; his brother Shawn; his sister-in-law Amanda Jeremiah; as well as his grandmothers, Norma Millar and Margaret Jeremiah; and grandfather, Claude Jeremiah.
Scott will be remembered not just for his talents and passions but for the love he shared and the lives he touched. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
