Leslie Ann Markart

Leslie Ann Markart was born on September 15, 1975 in Sallisaw to Dortha Pat (Lawson) Bowles and Odell Bowles. She passed from this life on May 25, 2020 in Fort Smith, AR. Leslie graduated from Vian High School in 1993. She married Roger Markart and together they had three sons. Leslie enjoyed a lifetime of working with horses alongside her husband, Roger, for many years. They both had an endless love for horses. Survivors include her mother Dortha Pat Bowles, of the home. Three sons; Tyler and wife Kandance Markart of Stilwell. Along with two grandchildren Rhiver and Calliope Markart. Brandon Markart of the home. Bryan Markart and fiance Samantha Anderson of Sallisaw. Two sisters; Laura and husband Terry Millard of Vian. Melinda Jones of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Two brothers; Karl Joe and wife Teresa Davis of Blackgum. Paul and wife Carolyn Davis of Vian. Survivors also include numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Odell Bowles. Her husband Roger Markart. Sister Charlotte Hickey and brother Mitch Davis. Leslie loved her family dearly, and her Grandchildren held a special place in her heart along with many nieces and nephews. Her love for her sons was nothing short of a mother’s love. Leslie will be greatly missed by her friend and family.Memorial services will be scheduled at a future date. Arrangements are under the direction of Forever memories Funeral Service, Sallisaw.
