Linda Carol Goad, a beloved mother, grandmother, and devoted homemaker, peacefully departed this life on October 3, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 26, 1942, in Helena, Montana, Linda lived a life full of warmth, laughter, and dedication to her loved ones.

In her youth, Linda made the bold move to California, where she married her husband, Wayne Charles Goad, on January 23, 1960, in Sacramento. In 1969, the family relocated to Oklahoma, where Linda further nurtured her passions and interests. She immersed herself in her role as a homemaker, embodying the spirit of love and care through numerous hobbies including crochet, where she created beautiful baby blankets and quilts. Her green thumb allowed her to cultivate roses, elephant ears, aloe vera plants, and an abundant vegetable garden, from which she delighted in canning the harvests.

Linda had an adventurous spirit, enjoying horseback riding on trail rides and in parades, expressing her love for travel, and relishing the joy of family outings to Bells Amusement Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her fondness for fishing in local lakes and camping trips provided countless cherished memories with her family.

A strong woman of faith, Linda was of the Pentecostal faith, always quick to express her gratitude and praise to the Lord, reflecting the deep spiritual commitment she held throughout her life.

Linda's family was her proudest accomplishment. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Charles Goad; their children, Wayne and Renee Goad, Teresa and Billy Moore, Sindra Varnell, Alena Poindexter, Chuck Goad, Lorinda Goad, Brent Goad, Clint Goad, and Chapin Goad; and a cherished legacy of 55 grandchildren and great-grandchildren who carry forward her love and spirit. She is also survived by her brothers, Bill and Bobby Gillespie.

In addition to her extensive family, Linda leaves behind close friends Pearlene Malcom and Angel Cowett, whose companionship added joy and meaning to her life.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Carol Gillespie; her son, Steven Goad; and her granddaughters, Brittany Varnell and Drakelyn Goad. Their memories will forever be held close in the hearts of those who survive her, as she was a sister, a mother, a friend, and so much more—a guiding light whose love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
