Lucretia Gay Smith, age 70, passed away at her home in Sallisaw of natural causes, on June 6, 2021. Lucretia was born on Aug 6,1950 in Granite City, IL, to Aaron Malachi and Lola Imogene (Flaherty) Smith. She worked for many years as a waitress and a cosmetologist. Lucretia lived a fulfilling life as a mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved knitting, yard sale shopping, and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children Robin Harris, Patty Drain, Steven Fritts, Shlaine Locust, Tommy Lester, their spouses as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a whole host of friends. Lucretia is also survived by her sister, Johnnie Wright and two brothers, Aaron Malachi Smith Jr., and Steven “Smitty” Smith.
