In Loving Memory of Lynna Ruth (Colby) McMillin

Lynna Ruth (Colby) McMillin was born on January 26, 1960, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and left this world on October 26, 2026, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.  She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth, laughter, and loving spirit touched the lives of so many.

Lynna was truly a social butterfly and the life of the party. She had a way of bringing people together, making others feel welcome, and filling a room with laughter. She enjoyed a good meal, good company, and making memories with the people she loved. A wonderful cook, Lynna was especially known for her delicious Spanish rice and the meals she lovingly prepared for family and friends. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, connection, and love.

Some of her most treasured memories were made during the holidays, especially making Christmas cookies when her children were young. Those moments, filled with sweetness, laughter, and family traditions, will forever remain close to the hearts of those who shared them with her. She also loved visiting the Renaissance Fair, enjoying the excitement, atmosphere, and unique experiences it brought.

Throughout her life, Lynna had a special gift for caring for others. She was a lifelong caregiver and hospice care provider, dedicating herself to helping people through some of life's most difficult and vulnerable moments. Her compassion extended far beyond her own family. She was also beloved at her nursing home, where her personality, warmth, and sociable nature made her a cherished presence. Whether caring for someone in need or sharing a laugh with those around her, Lynna had a way of making people feel seen and cared for.

Above all, Lynna loved her family. Her greatest legacy is found in the memories she created, the traditions she passed down, the people she cared for, and the love that will continue through the generations of her family.

Lynna was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie McCormick; her brother, Robert Colby; and her sister, Leanna Glover.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Orley McMillin; her daughter, Melodie Dobson, and son-in-law, Cory Dobson, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; and her son, Danny Harp Jr., and his wife, Melanie, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Elizabeth, Emma, Takoda, Crystal, Maddison, Jenna, and her cherished great-grandchildren, Tucker and Lydia, Luke and Adalynn.

She is also survived by her sister, Lisa Jones, and brother-in-law, Jimmy Jones, of Carmen, Oklahoma, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Though Lynna's passing leaves a space that can never truly be filled, the love she gave, the meals she prepared, the laughter she shared, and the traditions she created will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Her spirit will be remembered in holiday gatherings, family stories, shared meals, and the countless lives she touched through her years of caregiving.

Lynna will be remembered for her generous heart, her lively personality, her love of family, and her ability to bring people together. She was a caregiver by nature, a friend to many, and a woman who knew how to make life a little brighter.

She will be dearly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
