Marion Earl Fair

Marion Earl Fair was born on November 27, 1950, in Osaka, Japan, to Earl Alton and Mickey (Miyoko) Fair and passed away on June 3, 2024, at his home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.

Marion, a man of unwavering dedication, held family, community, and country in high regard. His proud service in the United States Air Force was a testament to his commitment. A natural engineer and tinkerer, he always had a practical solution for every problem. His community service was extensive, from co-founding the Sallisaw Cheerleading Booster Club in 2000 to volunteering with the Sallisaw Wrestling Community, the Sallisaw Football Chain Gang, Girls’ Softball, and The Brent Fire Department. His role in the planning of the Sallisaw Sports Complex was pivotal.  He dedicated years to developing the Sallisaw Youth League, showing his deep devotion to Sallisaw Youth Sports. He had a genuine love and passion for the Black Diamond Community.

Marion’s love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. His most cherished moments were spent with his children and grandchildren; he always had a new story of humor and admiration to share. His love for nature reflected his inner happiness, and he was at his best when the two aligned.

Those celebrating his life and love are his steadfast companion, Lynn Daggs of Sallisaw, and the beloved father of his two daughters, Miko and Shawn Morris of Oklahoma City, Emilia and Erik  Coffman of Sallisaw, and bonus daughter, Dr. Lyndsey Daggs of Jenks; grandfather to 6 grandchildren, Hailey and Kendall Morris of Oklahoma City, Kiowa, Jade, Maverick, and Kimber  Coffman of Sallisaw; brother to Roy and Beth Fair of Sallisaw; nephews Shelton and Kristen Fair and Zach Fair of Sallisaw; his great nephews and great nieces Sheldon, Adisyn, Jordyn and  Brooklyn; his great-great niece, Bailey Fair; extended bonus family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Earl Alton, and Mickey (Miyoko) Fair.

A Celebration of Life and Visitation for all will be held on Saturday, June 8, from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. at OSHSA Black Diamond Event Center, 200 W Creek Avenue in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, June 09, at 2:00 P.M. at Sallisaw First Baptist Church under the direction of Forever Memories Funeral Services.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly invites you to honor Marion’s memory by supporting causes that were close to his heart, such as Sallisaw Cheer and Sallisaw Wrestling.
