Mark Alan Steeley, 47, born November 8, 1978, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on June 4, 2026, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He leaves behind a legacy marked by his vibrant spirit, dedication to family, and deep ties to his heritage.
A proud member of the Cherokee Nation, Mark built a meaningful career as a pipe welder in the construction business. His skill and commitment to his craft were well known among his colleagues, but it was his personality that truly touched those around him. Known affectionately by the nickname "Swine," Mark was a very happy man with a great sense of humor and a constant smile that brightened every room he entered.
Mark cherished the simple joys of life. He loved fishing for crappie at his special "honey hole" and found pleasure in hunting deer and squirrels. He was also a spirited participant in softball games with the "swamp-donkies" and enjoyed the unique hobby of raising roosters. These pastimes reflected the joy he found in nature and camaraderie, elements that were woven into the fabric of his life.
He is survived by his loving parents, Sherry Billingsley and Daniel Ford; his devoted children, Derica and Trevor Massey, Brayden Steeley, Braxton Steeley, and Brantley Steeley; and his brothers and sisters, T. J. Steeley and his wife Amanda, BreAnna Wroblewski and her husband Christopher, and Ashley Meyers. Mark also leaves behind the cherished presence of his grandchildren, Analyn, Haizlee, Jameson, and Brenton Massey, numerous aunts, uncles, friends and relatives who will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
Mark's family mourns the loss of his son, Trenton Steeley, as well as his grandmother, Gussie Steeley, and grandfather, Johnny Mack "Rail" Steeley, who preceded him in death.
