It is with profound sorrow and tender hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Memphis Lane Rose, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, affectionately known as "Mempho," who left this world far too soon on June 17, 2026, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born on July 29, 2025, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Memphis brought an indelible light into the lives of all who knew him during his brief journey among us.
Memphis was a beacon of joy and innocence, always happy and smiling. His vibrant spirit was evident in his lively crawl that covered ground swiftly, his love for music that sparked movement and dance, and his delight in play, especially in muddy puddles. His heart was full of love for his cherished dog Tipsie. There was a special bond of love and warmth that existed between Memphis and his brother Levi, a connection that brought moments of pure happiness and comfort.
He was survived by his parents, Heavenly Rose and Dylan Brown ; his brother, Levi Cowett; his grandparents, Carrie and Henry Rose, Frankie Brown, and Bobby and Gala Bentley; and his great-grandparents, Wanda Crawford, June Carter, and Gary Limore, who all enveloped him in tender affection, including uncles Preston and Brianna Rose, Devin and Hayley Rose, Austin Rose and Brooklyn King, and Devyn Brown; as well as cousins Preston Jr., Alyvia, Kyrin, Braylin, Onyx, Dexter, Jack, and Aiden, each carrying Memphis’s memory forward in their hearts.
Memphis was preceded in death by his great-great-grandfather, Jack Limore; Uncle Jack Rose; and his great-great-grandmother, Bea Barrett.
Though his time with us was heartbreakingly brief, Memphis Lane Rose’s spirit was filled with the purest joy and light. His quick crawl into the hearts of those around him, his love for life’s simple pleasures, and the beaming smile he wore will be forever cherished. He has left a lasting imprint of love, laughter, and the fragile beauty of a life too quickly lived but deeply felt.
As we hold Memphis close in our memories, we take solace in the love he gave and received, a reminder of the preciousness of every moment. May our dear Mempho find eternal peace, cradled by the love of all those gone before and the grace of the skies.
