Michael Alan Brewer, a beloved family man and talented musician of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home on December 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 10, 1951, in Bakersfield, California, Michael lived a life full of passion, creativity, and laughter, which he generously shared with those around him.
Retiring as a conductor from Kansas City Southern railroad, he enjoyed a fulfilling career that allowed him to connect with many people along the way. Michael's warm and engaging personality shone brightly in every interaction. He had a unique ability to make others smile, often using his sense of humor to bring joy to even the most ordinary moments.
A gifted singer and guitar player, Michael found solace in music, and many cherished memories were created as he strummed his guitar and serenaded family and friends. An avid tinkerer, Mike spent countless hours putting things together, always eager to learn and create.
Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Terry Lee Brewer, and his children: Jennifer Scoggins, Michael Brewer Jr., Melissa Brewer, Sarah Brewer, and Theron Brewer. He was also a proud grandfather to Hannah Hamilton, Hayden Torix, Ava Scoggins, Elizabeth Torix, Jacob Scoggins, Sawyer Brewer, Jackson Brewer, and Joseph Brewer, as well as Jimmy Dale Branham, Aubreanna Branham, and Kalynn Branham: and sisters Debbie Poindexter and Darlene Connors.
Michael is preceded in death by his late son, Kyle O'Neal, his father, Earnest Brewer, his mother, Evelyn Brewer, and his brother, David Brewer. His legacy of love, laughter, and music will continue to resonate through the hearts of those he leaves behind. He will be profoundly missed but remembered fondly for the joy he brought into the lives of many.
Michael will be laid to rest at New Hope Cemetery in Stillwell, Oklahoma. Services will be held at a later date.
