Nathan Thomas

Nathan Laurence Thomas, age 62, of Davis, OK, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025, at Springhill Nursing Home in Wewoka, OK. Nathan was born on October 16, 1962, in Alexandria, Virginia, to Laurance and Sarah Lee Riggs Thomas.

Nathan grew up and attended school in Vero Beach, Florida. To many, he was "Nate," and to those who knew him in his racing days, he was known as "Fat Nat." Growing up on the Indian River, he earned his mark as one of the "River Rats." He tore up motocross tracks and circle tracks, always testing the limits to find a little more speed.

Known by many as a skilled mechanic, a true racer, a loyal friend, and an all-around good person, Nathan touched countless lives over the years. He will forever be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Sherri Lynn Thomas; daughters, Amanda (Brad) Stevens and Nicole Thomas; grandchildren, Taylor and Carsen Stevens, Liam and Frankie; and brother, Duncan (Linda) Thomas.

Nathan was preceded in death by his father, Laurence Thomas Jr.; his mother, Sarah Lee Riggs Thomas; and his sister, Sue Johnson.
