Nelda Joyce Chapman

Nelda Joyce Chapman, 68, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, was born to Raymond Leslie and Dollie (Mongold) Heckard on September 17, 1957, in Van Buren, Arkansas, and departed this world on August 15, 2026, in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Nelda was a loving housewife and mother. She loved to crochet, to cook, and to read; she sincerely loved all, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Nelda is survived by her husband, Jerry Chapman; her children, Jennifer Harlow, and husband, Terry Harlow, Jeremy Chapman, Justin Chapman, and Jacob Chapman; her siblings, Mary Mongold, Harmon Heckard, Roy Heckard, and Leslie Heckard; her grandchildren, Autumn King, and husband Donald King, Brookelynn Meeks, and husband, Gary Meeks, Kianna Brownfield, and Liberty Chapman; her great-grandchildren, Deacon King, Lukas King, Arthur King, Syrus Meeks, and Maeliegh Meeks.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Thomas Heckard; her sisters, Wilma Brown, Pauline Andrews, Rachel Foster, and Jane Fisher; and her great-granddaughter, Sophia King.

No services are planned at this time. The family of Mrs. Chapman has entrusted Forever Memories Funeral Services, 463505 Hwy 101, Sallisaw, Oklahoma, with all arrangements.
