Paul Melvin Ferguson

Mr. Paul Melvin Ferguson, 80 year old resident of Vian passed away on Thursday, Apr 26, 2018. Paul was born on July 28, 1937 in Wewoka, OK to Robert and Ruby (Holland) Ferguson. Paul was a loving, caring man to all who met him. He loved his wife, children and his grandchildren. He served in the US Air Force and in his younger years he worked on building several dams across the US. He also worked for Admiral TV and in 1999 retired from Riverside Furniture in Fort Smith after working there for 30 years. He loved to cook and care for his home. Paul was a faithful member of the Blackgum Harvestime Church where he will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann of the home; 5 children, Paulette McClendon of Van Buren, Paul Hayes Ferguson of Tahlequah, David Ferguson of Harker Heights, Tx, Elizabeth Dodson of Van Buren, and Philip Ferguson of Vian; 5 Step children, Barry Stroup of Vian, Ginger Gilbert of Vian, Stanley Rockwood pf Kent, WA, Dean Rockwood of Mossy Rock, WA, and Misty Rockwood of Oklahoma City; Sister Beatrice Christie of Dallas; and a brother, Bobby Ferguson pf Aztec, NM; 14 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Floyd, Lloyd, Tommy, Martie, and Leamon (Utah) Ferguson.Memorial Services for Paul Ferguson will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Blackgum Harvestime Church, Vian, OK, with Reverends Chris Armer and Phil Tally officiating.The Ferguson family has entrusted the Forever Memories Funeral Service, Sallisaw with the memorial arrangements
