Paul Willard Parks

Paul Willard Parks, 85, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on September 03, 2025. He was born June 28, 1940, in Wetumka, Oklahoma to MC and Brunette Parks. Paul grew up with a love for the land that would follow him all his life. He graduated from Wetumka High School in 1958 and soon after proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy. Following his service, Paul returned home, where he met the love of his life, Katy Beckel. The two married and recently celebrated over 60 years of marriage. Together, they built a family rooted in hard work and faith. Paul was a farmer and a gardener at heart, he was happiest with his hands in the soil. He found joy in tending crops and nurturing his gardens. He believed harvests reflected the seasons of life, and he taught those around him the value of patience and persistence.

He is survived by his wife, Katy of the home; one son, Kevin Parks and wife, Candy of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law, Sandy Parks of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; one sister, Shirley Lumpkin and husband, Floyd of Holdenville, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Jodi Parks, Kayla Wells and husband Dustin, and Logan Parks; three great-grandchildren, Kenneth Wells, Klifton Wells and Malli Wells. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who cherished his wisdom, humor, and kindness.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Wendall Parks and Wade Parks, and one son, Kenneth Parks.

Visitation for Mr. Parks will be Monday, September 8, 2025, from 4-8 pm, family will be in attendance from 4-6 pm in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel at Forever Memories Funeral Services, Inc., 463505 Hwy 101, Sallisaw, OK 74955.

 Graveside Services will be on Tuesday, September 09, 2025, at 1 pm at Akins Cemetery, Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Pallbearers are Franklin Little, John Little, Rocky Long, Tracy Merrill, Jeff Walters, and Ronnie Roberts. Brother Robert H. Wood will be officiating.
