Peter Michael Kinney, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on May 6, 2025, in Muldrow, Oklahoma, at the age of 74. Born on August 27, 1950, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Peter dedicated his life to his family, career, and community.
Peter was a proud veteran of the Air Force, serving his country with honor. After his military service, he joined the Rheem Factory, where he devoted 50 years of his life in a career marked by dedication and hard work. His commitment to his job was commendable, and he was well-respected among his peers.
Known for his kind-hearted nature, Peter had an infectious warmth that touched everyone he met. He was a man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need and was often described as someone who never met a stranger. His friendly demeanor and genuine kindness made him a true friend to many.
In his spare time, Peter found joy in playing guitar, a passion that brought happiness not only to himself but also to those around him. His love for music was evident, and it became a cherished part of his life.
Peter was preceded in death by his wife, Robbie Kinney, who he loved dearly. He leaves behind a loving family, including his son Michael Kinney; daughters Hollie Kinney, Lisa Brewer, and Candace Jones; brothers Robert Kinney and Doug Kinney; and beloved grandchildren Cody Bond, Christa Kham, Jamilyn Needham, Kayla House, Shania Calderon, Jessica Napier, Nataylia Deer and Dylan Kinney. As well as his Great Grandchildren, Axel Flynn, Alyna Kham, Kyelan Kham, and Leia House. His legacy will continue to live on through them.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on May 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at Forever Memories Funeral Services in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Peter’s life, share cherished memories, and honor the incredible man he was.
Peter Michael Kinney will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit and kindness made the world a better place, and his memory will always hold a special place in our hearts.
