Robert Hix, aged 75, passed away on July 9, 2025, in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Born on August 14, 1949, in Jasper, Tennessee, Robert spent his life devoted to his career as a truck driver for Deeton Trucking, where he was tasked with the critical responsibility of hauling explosives.

Robert’s life outside of work was filled with a rich tapestry of interests and passions. He found joy in fishing and arrowhead hunting, activities that allowed him to connect with nature and explore the tranquility it offered. His dog, Bubba, was more than just a pet; he was Robert’s loyal companion and best friend, sharing countless adventures by his side. A lover of storytelling and creativity, Robert enjoyed watching movies and immersing himself in books.

Family held a special place in Robert’s heart. He cherished the time spent with his twin sister, Bert, and made cherished memories with his nieces and nephews. He was particularly fond of listening to his great niece, Monica, as she sang country music, reveling in the talent and joy she brought into their lives.

Robert is survived by his sister Ann May of Tennessee and a wonderful group of nieces and nephews: Jessie Adams and her husband Clint, Callie Johnson-Rodregeus and her husband Rocky, Sabrina Russell and her husband Eric, Stephanie Hix, Raymond Hix, Phillip Knox, and Frank Hix. He will also be remembered by his 14 great nieces and nephews, as well as his 8 great great nieces and nephews, who will carry forward his legacy of love and kindness.

Robert was predeceased by his father Raymond Hix, his mother Jessie Hix, and his siblings Roberta Prescott, Eva Russell, Jimmy Hix, Ray Hix, and Steve Hix. He also mourned the loss of his niece Paulina Russell and his niece Crystal Jackson.

Robert Hix leaves a lasting impression on the hearts of all who knew him, embodying the spirit of a hardworking and devoted individual whose passions, love for family, and zest for life will forever be remembered.
