Roy Eugene Escalante

Roy Eugene Escalante, 72, of Sallisaw passed from this earth with his family by his side on Wed., Dec 2, 2020. Roy was born on Aug 7, 1948 in Long Beach. CA to Matthew and Mary Ellen (Ferro) Escalante. Roy worked as a general laborer most of his adult life and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having received an honorable discharge after serving his country in the Vietnam Conflict.Roy is survived by his wife, Carlene Escalante of the home; 3 sons, Scotty Escalante and his wife Sherly of Mansfield, AR, Jimmy Petree and his wife Suzie of Alma, AR, and Cory Escalante of Hakett, AR; 4 daughters, Tracy Escalante of Greenwood, AR, Andrea Carmona and her husband Rodolfo of Lewisburg, TN, Mattie Escalante and Melissa Escalante, both of Sallisaw; 3 brothers, George Escalante of Roswell, NM, Matthew Escalante Jr of Poteau, OK, and Allen Escalante of Huntington, AR; 33 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation for Roy will be held on Friday, Dec 4, 2020 from 4-7pm in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel of Forever Memories Funeral Services, 463505 Hwy 101, Sallisaw. Graveside services will be held on Sat. Dec 5, 2020 at 11:00 am in the Akins Cemetery, Sallisaw, OK with Pastor Joseph Mosby Jr officiating.
