Sandra Jean Benge

Sandra Jean Benge, 65, passed from this life on June 6th, 2020 after a hard fought battle with cancer. She was born on Oct 31, 1954 in Emmitt, CA to Jim and Naomi (Dean) Nunnery. She was a graduate of Pocola High School and went on to serve her country in the US Air Force where she worked in the medical field. After moving to Sallisaw she began working at the Sallisaw Hospital where she worked for 17 years doing a variety of jobs. She always prided herself in providing the care each patient needed, and was never afraid to go beyond to help her patients. Sandy is survived by her husband, Jim of the home; stepdaughter, Tami Benge; granddaughter, Kiersten; sisters, Sharon Chyma of Keota, Karen and her husband Eddie Beltran of Bixby; and brother, Carl Nunnery of Missouri. She is preced in death by her daughter, Tina; her mother and father; and one brother, Bobby Nunnery of Van Buren, AR. God said her work on earth is done and took her home. Anyone who knew Sandy was blessed because that is the way she treated all of us. Thank you Lord for the time we got to spend with her. She is and will be greatly missed.Private family services are planned at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Forever Memories Funeral Service, Sallisaw, Ok.
