Shirley Maxine Renfro was born in Muskogee, OK, on October 27th 1944, to Sylvia Katherine (Shiew) Scott and Wadie Lee Scott, and passed away on August 13, 2026 in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Shirley was a devoted homemaker who found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. She loved shopping, traveling, and most of all, making memories with the people that she loved. She especially cherished watching her great-grandchildren play sports. She was always nervous as she watched the boys rodeo, but her nervousness was matched by the immense pride she felt as she watched them compete. Shirley’s home was known as the “Fun House”, where pool parties, sleepovers, laughter, and countless memories happened frequently. Her home was always a place where family and friends felt welcome, and she loved having everyone together. The memories made in her home and the love she shared with her family will be treasured for generations to come.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Lisha Gude and husband, Robert of Muldrow; her loving and supportive companion, Mike Teague of Broken Arrow; her brother, Bobby Scott of Fort Smith, Ar.; her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Leon Taylor Jr of Muldrow, Ok., Jennifer and family of Muldrow, Ok., Jansen, Derrick and Chandler Allen of Muldrow, OK., Lacey, Josh, Gavin, Brenleigh, Gabby, Bentley and Kolbie Jo of Sallisaw, Ok.
Shirley is preceded in death by her mother and father, Sylvia and Wadie; her four sisters, Virginia, Kay, Ruby, and Sue; and her three brothers, Clyde, Eugene, and Billy.
