Timothy Andrew Jones, a devoted husband and loving father, passed away peacefully at home on October 17, 2025, surrounded by his cherished family. He was born on June 15, 1950, in Delano, California, and was a proud graduate of Delano High School in 1968.
Timothy dedicated over 30 years of his life to his career as a mechanic, demonstrating an unparalleled skillset that allowed him to work on anything that came his way. His expertise and passion for mechanics were only surpassed by his dedication to his family and his kind-hearted nature.
In addition to his career, Timothy honorably served in the Army from 1968 to 1971 with a rank of Specialist 5th class, spending 18 months in Vietnam. His military service was a testament to his commitment to his country and exemplified his strong sense of duty.
He was married to his beloved wife, Linda Kay Jones, for an impressive 54 years, building a life filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. Together, they created a nurturing environment for their daughter, Melisa. His pride in his family knew no bounds, and he adored his grandchildren: Cole Johnson, Kaylie Johnson, and Courtney Thomas, as well as his great-grandchildren, Braxton Shrum, Leeland Shrum, Jaclynn Cash, and Kaylyn Cash. Timothy's greatest accomplishments were undeniably his family, whom he treasured above all.
Outside of his work and family life, Timothy had a myriad of hobbies and interests. He enjoyed the thrill of cars, particularly race cars, and had a passion for riding motorcycles. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and the NFL, enjoying the excitement of the games. Fishing with his son-in-law, Clint, brought him much joy, and he cherished his time spent alongside loved ones in nature. Timothy also held a special fondness for animals, particularly dogs, and was known to spoil them with affection. His adventurous spirit led him to water ski, wakeboard, and camp, creating countless memories with family and friends.
Timothy is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Kay Jones, his daughter Melisa Dawn and Clinton Johnson, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles "Chock" Jackson Jones; his mother, Mildred Fay Jones; his sister, Patricia Faye Jones; and his brother, James "Jimmy" Micheal Jones.
Timothy Andrew Jones leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and a spirit that touched the lives of many. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
