Listen to Obituary

Wesley Dean Davis, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on July 21, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on April 26, 1962, also in Sallisaw, to Wilma Dean Dyer (Martin) and Henry Davis, Wesley was a well-known framer in the community. He delighted in deer hunting, rattlesnake hunting, fishing and camping—pursuits that brought him joy, contentment, and a profound connection to the land. Wes also took great joy in gardening, he loved when the fruits of his labor bloomed, whether it was vegetables growing and blooming or an iris. A memorable gift he liked to give was bouquets of flowers to his friends and anyone else he felt was deserving of them. If Wes thought you were in need of help with anything, he was sure to be there.

Wes is survived by his children, Derek Davis and Michael Hada; his siblings, Bradley Davis, Justin Davis and Leslie (Dyer) Caldwell; his grandchildren, Hayden Davis, Kennedy Davis, and Emerson Davis, and his father, Henry Davis.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Dyer; his brothers, Joshua Davis and Jeff Davis; and his son, Matthew Hada.

A visitation for Wesley will be Monday, July 27, 2026, in the Sequoyah Memorial Chapel at Forever Memories Funeral Services from 5-7 pm, and a graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 10 am at Marble City Cemetery, Marble City, Oklahoma. Officiating will be Johnny and Missy Flute, pallbearers are Brad Davis, Joe Davis, Cyndi Lindsy, Curtis Don Wilson, “Lil Tony” Renfro, and Mike Taylor, with Charles Sanders, Rodney Sanders and Heath Howell as honorary pallbearers.

Wesley Dean Davis will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will forever remain cherished in the fields, forests, and waters he loved, and in the stories that will be recounted for generations to come.
