Yvette Louise Miller, a devoted healthcare professional and beloved family member, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Born on April 25, 1963, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Yvette’s life was marked by dedication, compassion, and creativity.
A graduate of Central High School in 1982, Yvette went on to devote 25 years of her life as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), providing care and comfort to countless individuals. Her commitment to her career reflected a profound sense of empathy and service that touched many lives.
Yvette was a woman of many passions. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren, finding immense joy in their presence. Beyond her family, she nurtured hobbies that enriched her spirit, including photography, arts and crafts, pursuits that brought beauty and creativity into her life and those around her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Mike Miller, and her children, Amanda Miller and Daniel Miller, both of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; her siblings, Mike and Stacie Carter, Chris and Kathy Carter, and Angela Philpot, all of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; and her beloved grandchildren, Madilyn Miller, Landon Miller, Logan Girdner, and Anna Miller.
Yvette was preceded in death by her parents, Richard B. Carter and Annette L. Carter, as well as her sister Starlynn Gaye Carter.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 13, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Akins Baptist Church, located at 104186 S 4680 Rd, Sallisaw, OK 74955. Speakers will be Daryl Cardwell, Chris Carter, and Dennis Brewer. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor and remember Yvette’s life, her kindness, and the meaningful impact she had on those fortunate enough to know her. A potluck dinner will follow.
In remembering Yvette Louise Miller, we honor a life woven with compassion, creativity, and family devotion. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all whose lives she touched.
