RICHARD WATERS JR. BORN AUGUST 27, 1944 TO THE UNION OF RICHARD B. WATERS AND IRENE (LIVERS) WATERS WENT HOME TO BE WITH OUR LORD ON MAY 19, 2020. HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS PARENTS, 2 SISTERS MADELINE (SHELL) REYNOLDS AND BETTY (WATERS) REYNOLDS, 4 BROTHERS JOE, KIAH, DOUGLAS AND WENDELL WATERS, 1 GRANDDAUGHTER BREANNA WATERS AND HIS DAUGHTER-IN-LAW DAWN WATERS. HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE, LINDA WATERS OF THE HOME IN STILWELL OK; AND 2 SISTERS PAULINE (SHELL) LAUGHTER OF WAGONER OK AND LYDIA (WATERS) REYNOLDS OF WEATHERFORD TX. 1 SON RICK WATERS OF STILWELL, 2 DAUGHTERS KERRY WATERS OF ST. PETERS MO AND KRISTINA AND HUSBAND CHUCK ULREY OF MIAMI OK. 1 STEP-SON LLOYD NICHOLSON OF SAN ANTONIO TX, 1 STEP-DAUGHTER TAMMY GENDUSA OF STOCKDALE TX, 7 GRANDSONS RICHARD AND AMANDA WATERS OF OCALA FL, TRENTON WATERS OF STILWELL OK, BERKELEY ULREY OF MIAMI OK, MICHAEL AND WIFE KATY NICHOLSON, (JAMIE NICHOLSON) OF SAN ANTONIO TX, CORY ZIGMOND OF KYLE TX, CODY ZIGMOND OF STOCKDALE TX, MARK ZIGMOND CUERO TX; 2 GRANDDAUGHTERS MICHELLE GENDUSA OF SAN ANTONIO TX AND MICHELLE RODRIGUEZ OF PLEASANTON TX. 5 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN AIDEN NICHOLSON, KEVIN JENSON, VALERIE NICHOLSON, CAMBRY MORRIS, CANON KEMP; WITH A HOST OF NIECES, NEPHEWS AND FRIENDS.

FAMILY WAS THE CENTER OF RICHARD'S LIFE. HE WAS RAISED IN STILWELL OK BUT LEFT SHORTLY AFTER HIGH SCHOOL TO SUPPORT HIS FAMILY AND HIS DREAM OF TRAVELING THE WORLD. HIS ABILITY TO TROUBLESHOOT PROBLEMS AND FIX ISSUES AFFORDED HIM THE OPPORTUNITY TO TRAVEL THE ENTIRE CONTINENTAL US, MEXICO, CANADA AND EUROPE. BUT IT WAS HIS LOVE FOR FAMILY THAT BROUGHT HIM BACK TO STILWELL.

HE WAS A MEMBER OF CHUCULATE BAPTIST CHURCH IN GREASY OK. HE WAS EAGERLY SHARED HIS LOVE FOR THE LORD WITH WHOMEVER AND WHEREVER HE WAS PLACED. HE WAS A TREMENDOUS PRAYER WARRIOR.

HE LOVED TO LAUGH AND TELL STORIES. EVEN THOUGH CHEROKEE WAS HIS FIRST LANGUAGE, HE HAD MASTERED THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE TO THE POINT THAT HE COULD COMMUNICATE WITH ANYONE ON ANY LEVEL ABOUT ANY TOPIC. HE ENJOYED PLAYING GOLF AND READING.

HE WILL BE LAID TO REST AT CHULIO CEMETERY IN STILWELL, OK ON FRIDAY MAY 22, 2020 AT 1:00 PM.
